: You probably did't feed them as well as we do? But as you said you did it out of necessity and are probably not as expierienced as we are, nor as knowlegable of feeding baby animals. My wife wrote the first book on Gliders, because there is a lot of misunderstandings about these little creatures. Too many first time buyers are misled, hoodwinked.....ok I mean LIED to by other breaders, just to make the sale. Age is the biggest misconception and a lot of people are sold older gliders

Thanks for not shouting. I have had gliders for 4 or 5 years and I helped get them legalized in CO by providing data for the Division of Wildlife. I probably don't use the same diet as you, and as I have never seen your gliders I have no basis for comparison. I can say that once my hand fed babies were eating solids on their own, they cauht up with the others in size. And I do know that people are LIED to by other breeders. I, too, have spent time helping pick up the pieces when the "sweet, tame, baby" turned out to be an unhandleable wild caught glider. I have also spent time rescuing gliders from poor nutrition and dealing with the fall out from lack of calcium, vitamins, etc.
