Hello all,
I have been researching this and many other sites regarding sugar gliders for about two weeks. I decided last week to persue one of these cute little creatures. I believe that the information I got from this site is very informative and have over 100 pages of text information that I have printed out. The breeder at the petstore was very impressed with my knowledge of sugar gliders and today was my second day there holding my baby and letting her get used to me. I am planning on taking her home next week but I plan to drive there evey day until then so I can "begin to bond" with her before I get her home. I already have her cage set up with her hanging pouch and some toys in my room right next to my bed. I work at night and will have all day to bond and spend time with her. Then after I earn her complete trust I plan to bring her to work with me on occasion. I just have one question though, The lady at the petstore said that my cage is too big for my baby and that I should get her a smaller one until she gets a little bigger. Does this make sense to anybody?
