Just a suggestion but, you might want to look into local petstores and rescue on of these poor neglected animals from a store. It is not the easiest way to go because there is a lot more work to do in order to bond with him, and a lot of changes have to be made in what they are fed and how they are taken care of (they normally aren't fed a very good balanced diet or taken care of/played with properly). However, my experience with buying from a pet store proved to be a great one because Onyx was very happy to be better taken care of and fed better. Also, I live in NC and know of many SG's in the pet stores around this area that need to be rescued. Hope this gives you an alternative to the expensive shipping charges that almost double your cost.
