We just had our male neutered. From what i can figure it was pretty unusual as she opened the scrotal sac and removed the testes ratehr than removing teh whole sac. This means he still has the sac but it is empty! He recovered excellently and his chest scent gland has disappeared and his bald spot is regaining hair. He is very happy and healthy. His son was done about two weeks earlier and I hear he is mating with his mate so I guess they will be happy as they can keep mating with no consequences.
Neutering will make life easier for you, just get a vet taht is prepared to learn a lot if they havent done it before. Our male was only the second neutering and it went VERY smoothly
: Yes, male sugar gliders have scent glands on their chests as well as their heads. I have no experience with neutering sugar gliders.
