They started fighting with each other and the parents. The cage isn't of a size for 4 full grown gliders (2 male babies & parents). If I had weaned the babies on time, they wouldn't have been fighting, the tails wouldn't have been injured and fallen off. If your cage is large enough, there probably won't be a problem.

I usually wean when the tails are fully fluffed. Jane says she weans when she sees the babies eating solid foods (right Jane?). Either method works.
