But bad for the glider - a customer at the pet store I used to work at bought a sugar glider and foolishly allowed her 12 year old to take it to school the next day. Needless to say, it died soon after - I suspect it was stress, but I'm sure none of the children handling it washed their hands so you never know what kind of nasty stuff this poor little fellow was exposed to. Then of course we had to deal with an irate customer who paid $350 for a pet and wanted her money back because it died and didn't understand that it wasn't our fault..... : The woman I used to work for who owned a petting zoo is interested in expanding her stock .. namely getting a sugar glider. I don't know what to tell her, if it would be a good or bad idea. I think personally it would get really stressful . They already have a kangaroo, so learning to feed it right is not a problem . Thanxalot !
