What is the guys name that is selling gliders for $85? And you are right if the guy doesn't know anything about gliders it probably isn't safe to get one from him (you want a healthy glider). But prices do vary, although not by much. The lowest price I have seen is $150canadian for one or a breeding pair. Does this guy even have a lisence to breed gilders? Anyway always be careful.
