Jade, I just got my little baby this weekend and I asked the breeder about wood. She gave a great idea. She said to take a fruit tree limb (we're in Fl so we're using an ornge tree) and strip off all the bark as soon as you cut the limb. She showd us her's and it was a beautiful piece and better looking than a store bought and the gliders love it...hope this helps you....April
