My glider loves insects (especially mealworms) which are great sources of protein. I get my mealworms at the local bait shop. Second, I don't think parrot food is that great for gliders. Yes they like nuts, but it really shouldn't be their main staple. EVERYONE that I know strongly recommends 75% fruits and veggies and 25% protein. I give my glider three to four diffent fruits per night to eat. This gives them variety and if he doen't like one thing he can eat another-instead of going hungry. I also give vegetables like carrots, peas, corn, etc....you'll have to see what he/she likes. To make sure he gets enough calcium, I also give leadbeaters every night. I can't remember the exact measurements, but I got it from Bourbon-e-mail her and I'm sure she'll give it to you. If not, read the posts about leadbeaters, I'm sure you'll find a recipe. Some recipe's are different however. My glider LOVES it! I hope this helps. I'm not an expert, but my glider is healthy as a horse, so I must be doing something right. Good luck. Jasmine
