Shew I will do my best to answer most of your questions. Gliderade is a vitamin/mineral supplement that comes in powdered form and can be either sprinkled on their food or mixed 1 part gliderade to 5 parts water and given as a nectar drink. It is actually Lori Nectar with a different label. BPP is revamping their web site so there may be times that you can not access it. However the URL is http://www.brisky.com and you can always call their 800 number, they are always happy to speak with folks. That number is 1-800-462-2464. Now about nail clipping. This should be done whenever the nails feel sharp or are beginning to snag on fabric. What I do is to place the glider into a pouch in the afternoon, when it is sleepy. I pull out one foot at a time and I use baby clippers. I put the nail between the blades dragging the bottom of the nail across the bottom blade and when it hangs that is where I clip. I have never clipped into the vein but if you do and it bleeds a little you can pack it with a steptic pencil,
flour, or baking soda. You only want to remove the very tip of the nail. The nipping that you are discribing sounds like mock biting and yes this is normal and is a social behavior. You can discourage this behavior by blowing in a gliders face and telling it NO! You may even have to go so far as to put it back into it's cage, these are smart animals and it will soon get the message. As for the chirping sounds, all of my gliders, male and female alike make those sounds when they are happy or content.
