In fact, once a glider bonds with you, if you leave or give it away there is a good chance the poor thing might die of a broken heart. In fact, having multiple gliders around reinforces the bond all of them have with you, since they consider you part of the social group AND they think you are the "top glider." Getting a new playmate for your 10 month old glider is a wonderful idea, and you'll laugh at their antics when you realize how much trouble TWO gliders can get into. Just remeber that socializing with you is the highlight of most gliders days! The only think I would advise caution about is the inital introduction... if you use a cage, let the glider inside the cage have a look at the new glider outside and watch the reaction. If curiosity is the big reaction, GREAT, if the glider inside takes a hostile stance.. then introduce them more slowly. Oh .. and expect them both to bark more at night. They will "check" on one another till the wee hours of the morning bark! Bark! bark?
bark!
