Subject: what to put in cage...what not to put in cage
Posted by Dave Krueger on December 17, 1998 at 16:51:34:

In my anticipation of getting a couple of gliders, I built a 2x3x5' cage for the little guys. I don't know if I went a little overboard or not but that's just how I am. I was just wondering what I should put in there now. What kind of things are safe for the gliders and what is necessary and beneficial. Right now I have a large branch I found and a rope cat toy, as well as some thick nylon rope that I bought for climbing and stuff. I was just wondering if there were some potential hazards of me having these things in there. Will they chew on the rope? Is there a certain type of tree branch that I should avoid because I know they will chew the bark? Any toys that you guys have found that gliders love? I am looking for things that they will enjoy and are safe that I can leave in their cage when I am not watching them. Thanks for all your help.

Dave
