For christmas my boyfriend bought me a baby sugarglider that has been weened for 7 weeks. the breeder that he bought furby from fed her only apples and sunflower seeds. now all she'll eat is apples. should i be worried that she's not getting all her vitamins? if so, what should i feed her and from where can i get it? the pet store i went to recommeded dusting crickets with rep-cal but she won't even touch them, and also they gave me some sap mix (what is that for?). What is the name of the sap mix? How much should a 7-week baby be eating, They are small but very active animals, they do not eat much. If you are feeding the accu-feed they should eat one to two oz. per night. Of the fruit and veggie diet maybe < 1/4 cup and perhaps a tsp of ledbeaders diet. and how active should she be? she sleeps a lot. Babies usually do sleep a lot more than the adults. I think that you will find that she will nap a lot, both during the day and at night. As she gets older she will sleep for longer periods during the day and shorter periods during the night. I'm really scared i'm not doing enough for her. Do not be frightened, just continue to read all that you can about them, love her every chance that you get and ask all the questions that you can think of,,,there is a large support group out here that wants to read about your joy and happiness in living with a glider. We will all do what we can to advise you to the best of our knowledge. In my opinion ledbeaders is one good addition to a fruit and veggie diet, but the best you can feed your gliders is the accu-feed from BPP. It is nutritionally complete and since most glider illnesses are dietary related you reduce your risk of illness and you don't have to guess and what supplements to use and how much. You can order accu-feed from BPP if your local pet store does not carry it. You can request a free sample from their web site at http://www.brisky.com
