: I was wondering what kind of live plants (if any) that could be
: put in a sugar glider enclosure. A women suggested to me hibiscus and
: ficus.

They love hibiscus and sheffalera plants. I am not sure of the ficus but many glider web sites have safe and toxic plant lists.

I know from breeding veiled chameleons that if a chameleon
: were to bite a leaf on a ficus tree and get some in their eye it can cause
: and infection even blindness... same with sugar gliders? They use fake
: leaves in a sugar glider enclosure at my local zoo, would this be a better idea?

I would not use a fake tree out of fear that they may chew on the leaves and get their airway blocked, or obstruct their intestines. I just would not risk it.
: Thanks to anyone who can clear me up on this topic!
