Make the bite of a sugar cookie a rare treat, but it would be better avoided alltogether. Gliders will easily become obese.
Have you offered a plain cracker? Make sure there's no salt on it, it's surprising how much they love a nibble of a cracker.
Do avoid refined sugar. And do not feed "sugar free" candy or other items, that has proven to be fatal.
