I had the same experience and I was so relieved to have found a vet who even knew what a sugar glider was.
When I got to the office, I found out he'd only seen them for neutering. This vet wanted to know more about sugar gliders and I was kinda disappointed.
His veteranary knowledge was very acceptable because he did help my little sweetie. I hope he gets more sugar glider experience in the future because there's not enough vets who'll see these exotic animals in their clinics.
