Yes you can give your glider upper respiratory/head type infections.
It is best to handly them as little as possible (making sure
that your hands are washed throughly before handling them) until
you are completely sure that you are no longer infectious.
When you are handling them, only let your clean hands touch
them. Your clothes and other parts of your body can harbor
the virus/bacteria that is causing your illness and transfer
to them, and that would be bad.
