Even at 8 months, she isn't too old to bond. It just takes lots of time and patience. I usually use t-shirts with pockets rather than a pouch just because it holds the little beasts closer to me (of course, it can really hurt if they sink a tooth in).

I've been there and done that with gliders. I know how hard it is to be patient.
