In the original leadbetters there was no baby food at all. Most people have adapted it to their convenience and the gliders taste. I personally change what I put in most times. I put in whatever fruit is around and sometimes baby food- sometimes fruit based, sometimes meat based. I feel my gliders like the slight variety. But then after I make it I do a taste test and offer it to them and see their reaction. If they dont like it I add a little more apple juice or honey and that always seems to work. Just try things (within reason and your gliders will keep you in line.
: Instead of the chicken baby food, do you think apples and ham baby food would be O.K. to use in the leadbeaters recipe.I've never heard of anyone feeding there glider ham, just wanted to make sure it was O.K. to give it to him.
