: I just started feeding furby brisky's accu-feed. She accepted it pretty well but it looks like all she does is chew it up and then spit it out. I don't think she's swallowing it at all. is this normal because she's young, or does she not like it? This has been going on for a couple of days, what should i do? How can i tell if she's malnourished and what are the signs of hindleg paralysis?

Mine do the same thing. It has not be a problem though, they have actually gained visable amounts of wieght since I started feeding it to them. If you watch them eat certain fruits, such as apples, they will probably do the same thing. I asked a great glider advisor about it a long time ago and she said that this was completely normal. She said that they chew/grind it up and absorb the nutrients and spit out the rest. Unless your gliders look like they are too skinny, malnourished or having back leg problems I wouldn't worry at all. Goodluck and hope this helps you some.
