From someone I talked to they confiscated the glider and fined them as cynthia said a very large sum of money, They didn't care if the person had them before or not.. THEY ARE ILLEGAL and they can and will dispose of them if you are caught with them, California's fear is that the gliders can survive in their enviroment and fears of them messing up their eco system is a major issue. PLEASE check FIRST with the california dept of wildlife..
