As for taking them out. They are quite content to stay in my unzipped fanny pack, but when I'm out of the home it stays zipped, just so I have a piece of mind. But then I'm adjusting to them as they are adjusting to me and every little movement is felt. I'm purposely taking them out places in the pouch not because I want "my widdle babies with me", but because I believe that socializing them to all different sounds and smells will benefit them and make them less afraid. I have 2 dogs, 3 hamsters and 3 kids - these little sweeties are adjusting quite nicely to life at my "zoo". Last night the hubby and I let them loose in our bedroom while we watched t.v. in bed. They had a ball. Catching them was interesting. My hubby isn't as confident at it as me and he got one but let it slip through his fingers where it jumped directly on my face! We were laughing and grabbing and chasing, they were leaping and flying and running. I could have sworn I hear Toolah saying "nah nah nah nah nah". : To scary for me yet. Better check on giving your gliders cheese. I thought I read somewhere that milk based products are not good for them because the are lactose intollerant.
