Do you have the name/number of the breeder in Caledonia? I'd really appreciate it. : Hi Susan, : I'm from Ontario Canada too and as far as I know you don't need a licence to breed them here... I'm not positive on that though. I got my SG from a breeder in Caledonia... I never thought to ask her if she had a licence!! Maybe I'll give her a call if I can find her number. If you call around to the pet stores they might know if you need one. : P.S I tried the maple syrup thing with mine and he tried taking skin with the syrup!!! But I'll keep at it!!! : Linda
: These little critters are so so sweet and tameing up so well, they are hardly recognizeable. Throw away the gloves - I'm in love with Joey and Toolah. Is is part of the sickness to want more of these critters? I have a new cage on order, bigger and better, I want to get a couple more. I don't want to get into heavy duty breeding, but I realize there will be some babies if males and females are mixed. I don't see a problem finding homes for them because they are hard to come by out here, waiting lists are long, desire is strong. But anyways, let's say I have a few babies a year - do I need a licence? Do I need to be a registered breeder somehow or am I classified as a hobby breeder or am I not classified at all. I'm in Ontario Canada. Any advice on these issues is appreciated. Even throw your 2 cents in about my getting 2 more and/or having babies at all. I want to be informed and I want whats best for my "babies". Am I just being selfish by wanting a couple more? Probably, but let me tell you, these critters are so loved and so pampered - I've spent so much time and patience with them that in just a couple of weeks I've accomplished what I figured would take months. Throw those comments at me - good and bad - I can take em! I appreciate them.
