: I don't really know what it looks like, but since it isn't irrated i would illiminate the possibility of it beingh an injury. But if he is rubbing his head on like the cage itself or the nest box then that would explain it, also he may have parasites, stress, mites could be his diet.. the possibilities are endles. The reason I said these guys is that they have many gliders they might have already seen it..

I have one glider that still gets the occasional side patch of baldness, his is caused from excessive fluids being released by his scent gland and he doesn't get it all wiped off and it gets crusty, then when he does wipe it against a hard surface that crusty material pulls the hair out,,,ouch!! I have even had it cultured because I have never seen anything like this on any other glider, but there were no bugs there, thank goodness, just an over active scent gland. HOWEVER do not take chances, do not just take my word that this is what is going on. I have not seen your glider and am not a vet. I did not take chances with my glider. Take it to a vet and have it looked at and maybe even do a culture of the spot.

Best of Luck to you
