: When you first started coming on this board you said : you had imported your gliders? (I think it was you). : I've been wondering about that...why did you choose : importing over getting them in the US? Were they taken : from the wild, and if so, where? Do you know how old : they are? Who imported them for you? I am really curious, : I'm not judging, just been wondering. These two were not what I was originally looking for. I got them from a small pet shop who had supposedly had 18 breeder pairs and were getting rid of these two. They happened to be the only one's they had available at the time. They were housed in a 10 gallon aquarium. I wasn't sure what to do. So I made some I made a couple of quick phone calls for info. The animals where supposed to be 1 1/2yrs old. Imported. They were to have already had one set of babies. Basically Idecided that I could get end up with the baby that I wanted. If I wasn't happy with the first two I could sell them and be out nothing. I ended up getting the pair for the same price as one hand-feed baby. But mostly, I got them because I was a very inexperienced buyer. I would never buy this way again. I would recommend to anyone who is thinking of Buying a Sugar Glider, to do as much research on them as possible. Make sure this is the right pet for you and what sex and age that would be the best for you to get. Whatever your needs. Go to a breeder, and see all of the animals and how they were housed, are kept clean. Get references. This way you will know exactly what you have.
Hope this helps. Wouldn't know where they are imported from. I feel I just saved these two. I think they like me because we saved them from a life from hell...They are well taken care of and loved.
