Of course it's the food! But that's good - she's associating you with good things, she's approaching you without the fear because she's learning to trust you. Give her time to bond. But I can still guarantee she'll expect treats when she sees you - heck my kids do that with grandma and my dogs are ALWAYS looking for a treat....As for her not wanting to come out of her cage, these critters are very nest box and "home" oriented, that's where they feel safe. She'll come out when she's ready to explore, sounds like this is all very new to her, give her time and lots of it.

: I am not sure if my glider likes me or the food I bring her. She does come up to me and climb on my hand as soon as I open her cage, but I have a feeling that it is because see just wants the treat I have for her ( usually a kernal of corn or two) I guess I shouldn't be picky. At least she comes by me. She also does not seem to like being out of her cage. Everytime I take her out she climbs back in. Is this normal. Her previous owner did not spend a lot of time with her and kept her in s very small aquarium for about 9 months.
