Hi Pam,
How long have you been back from your trip and how old is Goose?
I've noticed that when I travel with Eos (which is frequent) she is a lot like a child... she gets grumpy and bites where she never would otherwise, she becomes antsy and unpredicatable, and is generally upset that her routine is messed up. Still, I wouldn't leave her, because I think you're right that it's worse.
Anyway, when we get home, she will often bark all night or get very active in our house or her cage.

Also, I'm guessing Goose is pretty young...and they sleep a great deal when young. Even as grown ups they will go through eating cycles...eating much less for a few days, then a lot.

I'd say if you're really still worried about him, it never hurts to call the vet or take him to a vet.
Good luck,
tiffany

: I think that there might be something wrong with Goose. I've had Goose for about a month and a half, and I just recently took him on vacation. I knew it wasn't the best thing in the world for him, but neither is finding a babysitter for 2 weeks. He had just started to bond with me before the trip and I didn't want him to feel uncomfortable with someone for 2 weeks. I figured since we were driving he would be ok. Well, I don't know now if he's sick or depressed or just trying to settle back in, but I am really concerned. We just got back home on Wed., so I thought that I would give him about 2 days to settle in without really disturbing him. Well, he seems to be sleeping more, he seems very lethargic, I don't really see him play at all, and he isn't eating as much. When I take him out he's very skiddish, and freaked out a little yesterday. I don't know if he is just getting readjusted to his home or what, but I am very concerned. If anyone has any thoughts on this matter, please share them with me. I am not ready to give up on him, so I would love any thoughts you might have on what could be the problem. Thank you very much.
