Mine are still young to actually bite "down to the bone" (and I am too new at this to know if they can) but mine do nip - I have acrylic nails and they like to chew on them (which I discourage) I also want to discourage them from biting because I have a 6 and an 8 year old that handle them - I don't want them to get bitten because then we would have a "sugar glider in space" and I certainly don't want that.
