It can be passed through contaminated objects - do you have children? It is very contagious. And yes, it could be transmitted from animals. Check your sugar gliders for small circular scaley patches. Be assured, it has nothing to do with cleanliness - just like with head lice - has nothing to do with hygeine. If your gliders have it, and are left untreated, it will be passed onto to over and over until you clear it up on them. You need to find out where the source is coming from. Let me know how it goes. : I've had my two girls for a while now and everything is going great except for one thing-I keep getting ringworm infections. I don't have any other pets and I shower every day, so could my babies be giving this to me? I always keep covered when they're on me, but you know how sharp those little nails are...they sometimes go right through my clothes. The weird thing is that its been appearing on my legs, not on my arms or anywhere else. Has anyone had this problem before? Could this be due to my gliders? If this is possible, does anyone have any suggestions on how to help? I know this sounds gross guys, but I really am a clean and neat woman...
