Cole, first thing tomorrow find a knowledgeable vet that is open 24/7. also look up the pages on hind leg paralysis including the old one that has the whole story written up. I cant remember the URL but do know it is on Glidernet. Just keep giving as myuch calcium as poss and see your vet ASAP
: Thank you for your help. Rockie (our sg) is drinking from a medicine dropper some calcium rich orange juice for right now. No vets are open, but will be taking him first thing in the morning. Will let yall know. If you think of anything else please pass it on. It looks to be a long night so might be checking e-mail

: : Hi Cole -

: : I rescued a pair last fall and the female of the pair was severely calcium deficient and the male was on his way - I used Neocalgluconate .5-1.0 cc twice a day by mouth and within a week the difference was really dramatic. It can be used in the drinking water also. This stuff is expensive and my pharmacy only special orders it in pint bottles (about $40), but it was worth every penny. Ask your vet about it and get the correct dosage for your glider before using. Then be sure that the diet you're giving your glider is correct and balanced in supplements.

: : : : This is a sign of hind leg paralysis - caused by calcium deficiency. Read Jo's posts about Romeo below for more info...you need to get your glider to the vet ASAP...one who knows about gliders. They can die of this, so get help immediately.
: : : : Wish I could help more.
: : : : Good luck - let us know how it goes.
