I purchased Romeo from a flea market of all places, In Tampa, FL. The pair were supposed to be a year and a half. The were feeding them fruits/vegs/ cat cafe catfood(cheapest around) and parrot seed. I have only had Romeo one month (got him the day after Xmas)when he got stressed out. I was in the process of weaning them to Brisky's from the leadbeater's I orignially started to feed them waiting for the pellets. I was pussy footing around with the total switch to Brisky's. Learned a valuable lesson here.
I have both gliders on the leadbeaters now until Romeo can eat hard food better. I a couple of weeks or month's I will do a total switch over to Brisky's when they are ready to handle it. Romeo loved it before.

I could not believe how dumb I was when I bought this pair. Finding this board and meeting a bunch of wonderful people have really opened my eyes to these babies..

Thanks

JO

: Yea, I was wondering that also...in Rocky's case, since he is so young, was he undernourished before Cole got him? I'm really concerned about Eos and all other gliders. Maybe we could do a survey or something. What were you feeding Romeo Jo, when he had the problem and how old is he? I think your survey is a good idea.
: BTW, I think it's great that you are so willing to help others learn from your experience with little Romeo. I know I learned a lot.

: : how awful that we seem to be seeing alot of hind leg problems lately. I find this very heartbreaking. just what is going on? This diet issue must really be solved soon obviously the breeder/pet store is not giving these people enough information to new owners. How can we change this? To those of you researching these problems, I am here to lend you a hand anyway possible. Just holler!

: : Maybe we should find out where these cases are coming from and where they got their pet. Could be one or a couple bad breeders/pet stores. I know this is reaching but what do you think?

: : Very concerned....
