Yes sometimes they make quite a bit of noise. Mine woke me up last night yipping but I have learned to be a hard core sleeper. Sometimes it seems they bark if you leave a light on or if they are use to a little bit of light visa versa. Some are worse than others. In general mine don't seem to be a problem and I do keep them in my bed room. However my friends male glider calls almost constantly! I don't remember who here said it but I do remember that someone once said, "you don't hold a glider, it holds you." I think that's is very accurate. I let my gliders come to me. They will show you how to play the glider way. I just let them loss in my rec room and they do they usually get into everything. Steal treats from each other, glide from furniture to you and make up their own routines. Of course your glider won't come to you if it's not bonded well and if it is bonded well you may have trouble getting it back in it's cage. You really don't hold them the way you would with a hamster or gerbil, they do their own thing. If you try to keep them in your hands they will most likely struggle and they are quite squirmy. Your glider won't trust you if you force it to be with you. They usually cost between $150-$300. Sometimes you can get them for as low as $75 for breeders who don't have time to market them and for free from someone who doesn't want theirs (this is usually because they are not well socialized and their owner can't stand them though).
