For starts you shouldn't use any gloves it covers your scent up and dosen't get her accustomed to your scents and your hand. it may be better to leave her in the cage for a few days to about a week and feed her treats often. wear swtches each day and put them in her pouch or box. small ones though about 3 inch squares. change those each day. I highly suggest wearing a pocket tee each day and hanging that in her cage. But you need to keep the scents fresh each day. If you are afraid of her she will sense that and use it against you. If it is their crabbing that is just a warning when she crabs leave your hand where it is for a few moments. she will be okay make sure all your movements at first are from the outside of the cage. Hang her pouch on the door and open the door often to just look in and say hi and when you give her treats say her name . As she is eating just try to pet her gently. What ever you do try not to hold her. let her hold you.always let her associate you with treats and gentle feeelings of security.. Some gliders do not warm up real easy so a lot of time and patience is required. Always look at a glider AS IF it were abused and neglected, and you need to build a trust first. The importance of handleing your baby is important but they must feel secure with you.. After she is asleep in her pouch place the pouch in between two shirts preferable the bottom shirt being a pocket tee. As she stays in there longer each day you can start removing the pouch and put her in your pocket..This has worked wonders for some difficult gliders my little male being one of them. This is a slow process but it does help to build trust. The reason for leaving her in the cage for a week is so she will realize that the cage is a good place where she gets treats and is also a safe zone. Once they know where home is you will still have a time getting them in but it won't be a trumatic experience for her. With the pouch hanging on the door it makes it easier to place her on the pouch and close the door.
