I use Mazuri Omnivore Zoo Feed which is also supposed to be a complete diet. In addition I feed fresh fruits or vegetables daily. I also feed low or non fat yogurt once a week, eggs (hard boiled with the shell or scrambled with shell in them) for calcium. I also feed my breeding females small mice (dead) about every other week. The mice are a good source of protein, calcium, and other vitamins and minerals.

Since your female trembles and appears terrified when you handle her, I would limit the handling at this time to avoid stressing her out.
