That's a hard question to answer because each sugar glider is individual. Without seeing the glider it's impossible to say. Can they pick up the glider without being bitten?
If so, you have a great chance of taming and bonding. If not, it will take time and much patience but is still possible. If the glider is defensive and down right mean, it will take extreme patience and much consistant loving attention. We have a wild caught male here that, after nearly 4 years, still refuses to be handled. He's a very good pet and does not bite unless we try to pick him up. Believe me, we've tried everything with him, domestication is not in his nature. He's an excellent cage mate for another glider who's tame as tame can be.
If the ladies can pick her up, it's a good sign, but if they don't want to put their hands in the cage I'd hold off for a different glider. Not necessarily younger, just tamer.
