I have my gliders in an area where it is fairy easy to confuse their cycles... I have not tried to switch a complete day/night cycle, but I do use artificial light during the daytime... its run on a timer and the lights go off at about 7:30 pm and back on at 9:00 am. This allows my gliders to either wake up earlier or stay up later. My routine is to feed them shortly after the lights go off. I talked to them, fussed and enticed them out for a while...
They used to wake up around midnight... but now (and it DID take time) they wake up by 8pm and if I havent been in to feed and play with them by 9pm or so... they let me know! It sounds like a pack of puppies...
I shifted their cycles so that other members of my family could have time to spend with them... (ie - my kids)

If you are considering attempting this, please take it VERY slowly. (I would also suggest your vets input...) The glider will become *extremely stressed* if you move too fast. Keep a very close eye on their personality and feeding habits. Know your glider... is there anything that seems 'off'? If so, this isnt a good move.
