There is an article there on lactose intolorance and it recommends puppy replacer rather than kitten replacer.

Also, by supplementing with a bottle, you may make it more difficult for the baby to nurse. Kind of like with human babies. Some will take both bottle and breast, others will refuse the breast if they are given bottles sometimes (my own experience)
