: : I have been asked to join your discussion for a while to hopefully clear up so questions that some of you may have. Let me tell you who I am and what my experience has been.
: : My name is Debbie Dillon and I have raised and bred gliders for over 5 years now. I have never shipped one of my babies anywhere. All have been sold locally and each new parent has gone through a time consuming procedure to qualify for one of my babies. Gliders are a hobby to me, not a business.
: : Perspective parents are required to make the initial visit here to see our gliders. After that, they are encouraged to look at other gliders to compare and if they decide on ours, they can call back and I will add their name to our waiting list. Once babies are oop, parents are required to visit at least once a week. The reasoning for this is because I send babies home by matching personalities. We let each baby choose his/her owner and so far every match has been perfect.
: : Aside from being available for after adoption suport for my babies, there are also many people and places that refer other owners to me. The 2 major reasons are either someone is looking to add a glider to their home or someone has an "ILL" glider. Within the 4-1/2 years that I have been taking calls regarding sick gliders, there have only been 2 out of more than 150 callsthat have not survived. All others improved their diet and are thriving today I am very glad to say.
: : My next post will be regarding diet.
