I start correcting them as lil'guys... body training the joeys before they go home... Ill bring them out with me in the evening, and every time they jump off of me I will pick them up and put them back (on my body). Usually at this age, a coaxing tone of voice and a lil encouragement (snuggles & petting) and they catch on quick. When dealing with my mischievious juv./older gliders... well (imagine a cat on your counter) Id get their attention... "pssst! Irish." (fortunately, they respond to their names) then let them know verbally that what they are doing is not acceptable. Ill use a firm tone of voice, but Im never loud with them... AND I use contact (petting, picking them up...) as a counter to my voice... they seem to know Im not mad, but get the hint as to what is wrong. I also use distraction quite a bit... If one was nibbling on my candles... Id correct him, scoop him up and send him off to play in the stuffed animal pile... One thing to remember as the key though, consistancy... and repetition. Also, as you and your glider bond, he will get to know you, as well as you him... and he'll notice the difference in your voice if you are upset. :) Use this to your advantage!
