I feed the crickets to my gliders by hand for the bonding aspect of it. I used to feed them meal worms but the calcium to phosphorous ratio in mealworms is 1:8 whereas in crickets it is 1:4 which is much better. Also insects need to be gut loade which is much easier to do with crickets. I keep mine in a 10 gallon aquarium and gut load them on calcium rich foods like kale and other leafy greens, fruit like pears and oranges and soy milk. You don't have to use the soy milk but all of my gliders go absolutely crazy for it so their is always some in the house anyway. I prefer gut loading to dusting the crickets only because my gliders will not eat anything covered in calcium dust.Yuck. If you do use the loading method, make sure that the crickets are fed this calcium-rich diet 24 hours before feeding them to your pet. Good-luck, Richard.
