With her and dad it has taken the slow bonding process and she has progressed more than he has. What I was wondering from all of you (including Bourbon) or any successful breeders is this behavior normal? I hope it is because we are not bonded completely yet but she has done a wierd thing also when I hold her she seems to mark me with her chest and tummy. I have never heard of a female doing this before. Any input is appreciated and by the way I got pictures of them with their little heads in the pouch too cute! : This is very normal especially if this is her first litter of babies. It may also take and extra week or two to wean those babies. Do not force them to eat until the mom is ready to let them go. She should become less protective as each litter passes. They sort of get to know the routine of things.
