I only saw mine chew metal when he was really stressed right before he got sick. I am wondering if it had anything to do with a vitamin deficincy? Maybe we will get some answers...
It could just be a normal behavior. I doubt it would hurt them unless it flaked off or was rusty or had sharp edges.
Hope this helps...

: : Hey everyone a few questions.

: : 1. If we get another pair of gliders (and a bigger cage) can we keep them all together or will we need two separate cages?

: : 2. Koa and Jako both like to chew on my gold rings, keys and the other day she found my navel ring and started chewing on that. Are there types of metal that will hurt them. I have been letting her do it because she won't eat anything hard (for her teeth) but don't want it to be bad for her.

: : 3. I have looked for Debbie's book and can't find it. Haven't exhausted all avenues but sorta tired of driving around town - where can I get it?

: : 4. What is selenium? What is it in? How much is too much? How much is not enough?

: : Thanx to all who answer my numerous questions - Christi

: The book is available thru Brisky pet products or direct from me. You can ask Bourbon or jo privately for my phone # if you want. Selenium is found in certain foods that are fed. They are things such as grapes, peas, aspargas, cucumbers and many others that I have listed in my book.
