First we have removed their pouch and put in a wood nesting box, hoping this will give them more room ,plus it is on the floor You may regret going to a wooden nest box, you can not sanitize them and they will hold odors. A plastic butter tub works well, and there are other inexpensive options, or you could invest in a nest box made for flying squirrels and or sugar gliders. I purchased one that was a little expensive but comes with a life time guarentee. Putting it on the floor is a good idea, this way you won't have to worry about the babies falling from the nest box to the floor. As for Pappa glider, I say leave him in. He will help take care of Momma glider as she gets big and cumbersome and has trouble getting around and he will baby sit the little glider(s) while she leaves the nest to eat, and he will keep them warm. He also plays a big roll in teaching them how and what to eat as they are getting weaned. Poppa glider is generally more protective of the babies too.
