It is a wheel that gliders get into to run. It is MUCH safer than normal hamster wheels. My Micah absolutely loves his. He must run ten miles a night :) He also has two tree branches, a twisted rope, two plastic chains, a bell, two pouches and a house. Oh, also some of those little cat balls with bells in them. I also have a question. I bought Micah a wooden ladder and he started chewing it. Will he get splinters in his mouth or throat?? Thanks.... Melinda & Micah : : : : : : : hi! on the nest box thing, i agree with clara. i mad mine some sleeping bags and he won't sleep in anything else! not to mention, when i go to get him during the day, i just remove the ouch and put it in my shirt. with a nestbox, i was causing him undue stress by exposing him to the light and having to chase him, etc to put him in my shirt to bond. good luck. .at the moment, Java's )i( favorite toys are my candles. i wouldn't recommend them.......but when not playing with those (or trying to anyway) he really likes this hamster ball that came with a stand. i put it in his cage and he loves it! : : Hi.. : : I just use a smaller size rubbermade box, with a hole cut into the side and some airholes poked through the top, they seem to love it, and VERY easy to clean. : : as for toys... have you tried a Wodent Wheel, my crew LOVES theirs... they also play on wooden ladders, ropes etc that I have hanging.. good luck! : : Candi : What is a wodent wheel?
