I too use a pouch instead of a nest box. Getting ready to make a condo pouch for them when they have babies. I use bird and some cat toys and a large hamster tube that they love. Not the small habitrail ones but they are larger but not as big as ferret tubes...

: It is normal for gliders to have their ears down when sleeping, it helps block out outside noises. You should only be concerned if they do this when awake.

: A nestbox needs to be dark. There are a few places that sell plastic nest boxes: Pawprint, Brisky's, and Exclusively Sugar Gliders
: I prefer a pouch. They are very comfortable for the glider and are easily washable. I have several and rotate when one gets dirty. Pouches are also easier to remove than nestboxes.
