I use a spoon and put the worms in a dish before they have a chance at all to warm up and wiggle, cause I hate them too. Micah sits on the edge of the dish and just reaches in a picks them up. YUM YUM.

: : Ick, I finally did it - I gave my Elvira mealworms last night. It was grossing me out and I had to pick them up with tweezers (I'm such a wimp) but she loved them. My question is, do I feed them to her every day?

: Dont feel bad. I was told that when the worms are cold they are SUPPOSED to be dormant (I interpretted that to mean they DONT/WONT be moving) -- I'm a wimp too, I used a pair of tweezers to try feeding these disgusting things to my babies. When I picked up the darn worm (they were kinda big for mealworms), it wiggled and wrapped itself around the tweezers. I nearly fainted, then had a panic attack. Had to have my husband come take over, I thought HE was gonna pass out from laughin' at me. Needless to say, he is the only one who gives them this "treat" now.

: Ours get 4 to 6 each day (depending on the worms' size)
