: what is zoo fare and brimsky's and where do you get it? : i live in austin, tx. : and gut packed crickets? what is that? Zoofare is soft insectivore diet available from Pawprint. Brisky's is a pelleted diet containing eucalyptus. The links to these places are on my page. A lot of glider owners have had some trouble getting them to eat one or the other. Every glider is different. Most will eat Zoofare and I have heard of some that really love it and eat it first. Some will eat Brisky's with no trouble, but some refuse completely. Mine won't eat Brisky's plain. I usually have to put a little baby food or honey on it. They do eat Zoofare with a little hesitation, they will eat all the other food first. My female glider likes Zoofare more than the male. Gut packed crickets are live crickets which are fed a special high calcium cricket food for several days before you give them to your gliders. This boosts the nutritional content of the crickets. The cricket food is called gut pack and you can get it from pet stores that specialize in reptiles. Since you live in Austin, try Zookeeper Pets, or either Herpeton. I can tell you where these pet shops are if you don't know. Pawprint carries freeze-dried gut packed crickets. Clara
