I just got Reptocal today to add to my gliders diet. Gideon (the male) is especially worrying me about his need for calcium. I know to sprinkle it over their food, but their still getting used to this food & may not be eating much yet. I was wondering if I can put it in their water? I know this may be a really stupid question, but I'm worried about my little ones so I'm swallowing my pride & asking. Thanks, haic P.S. Gideon & Simcha (the gliders) said to say thanks from them also. P.P.S. Jireh (the kitty) couldn't be left out. She says thanks too cuz she loves her new siblings & wants them to be ok.

Did you get Rep-Cal or Reptocal? Reptocal is not good for them. I would suggest you try a leadbeaters diet.

Hey, I had that kind of trouble too. I got my calcium from a breeder so I don't know about reptocal (which is probably good anyway). Anyways, the first thing is that is the food solid or mushy? If it's solid, then sprinkle it over the food (mine loves the stuff and licks it off of the food before eating it). But if it's mushy, it could blend in i guess (I don't know, since mushy food are like fruits and mixes and I've never tried it). And if you're wondering about mixing it with water...that's a no good (at least for me) the water does not dissolve the power stuf well so it turns out partially milky with leftover gunk on the sides. And your glider will get used to their food after feeding it for a long period so don't worry about them not liking it. Hope this helps!

If you put the Repcal in the Leadbetters, you don't need to sprinkle on anything.

If your glider is having calcium problems then reptocal is the last thing you need...it won't do you any good. You need some repcal. What diet are you feeding?

I got the wrong thing I got Reptocal instead of Repcal. Bad me. I'm going right back to the pet store this morning to right my wrongs.

When in doubt look to see what the calcium is made from on the label usually in small print. Any brand of calcium that is made from bone meal is a no no. It will have phosphorus in it. Any brand that is made from oyster shells is good! It will be phosphorus free. D3 must be in it for the body to asorb.
