We went to an unfriendly and NOT helpful ER clinic. I couldn't afford to pay up front, they wouldn't accept a payment plan, I was going to call my dad in IN (1am their time) and ask him if he'd give them his credit card number over the phone but they wouldn't accept it that way (contrary to what they said on the phone). It was a frustrating experience and scary to be turned away with Gideon not having got any help. Thankfully someone knowledgable about gliders called and gave me a name of a vet very close to where I live who might be helpful. I'm going to call this vet as soon as they're open this morning. He looks fine. He's been snuggling with Simcha (my female SG), and now he's climbing all over his little cage. Occationally he stops using his right leg for a few moments, but he hasn't dragged both legs since early evening. I stayed up with them all night (also cuz I'm a bit nocturnal myself) and kept them in their pouch under my shirt. I was trying to keep him from moving too much & aggrevating any problems, but after all night of that he wanted OUT. It's hard to understand how this little guy who looks so healthy & is fine most of the time could have such a serious problem, but I won't take any chances. I couldn't bare to lose either one of them. I thought I was giving them a good, balanced diet. I learned a lot tonight. Thank you all who were patient and helpful tonight. I really am grateful. I'lll let you know what happens.
