I managed to get the place I got my glider to actually respond to my emails. He wants me to pay for the phone call. I told him I would rather take care of this via email. I asked him what he could do for me. I told him all the money I spent on her and vets bills. What should I say to let him know that she was sick when he sent her? I told him that, but hes gonna want proof. Anyone that knows my situation, please help!!!

Call you vet, she should be able to tell you if this glider was getting sick when you bought him. And, for proof, you can have him talk to her about it. Kerry

In addition to the above, get the vet to give it to you in writing that the animal was ill, I agree to do it via e-mail (so you have a written documentation on what was said and/or agreed to), and if necessary, take them to small claims court for the cost of the glider and vet bills. You will need to have everything in writing. Do you have a receipt for the glider purchase? Get your vet to print out copies of your bills and what they were for (that's very important) if you don't already have that. I'd go to small claims court. I'd also report this breeder to the SPCA and licensing board. Good luck!

Lin, you should not pay for the phone call. As advised above, do business by email - it will give you proof of your "conversations" without trying to record them. Get your vet to document your gliders pre-existing health condition as well as all the care he rendered by telling him what you are trying to achieve - reimbursement and replacement from the breeder. I'd collect and send copies of the emails to USDA, BBB, SPCA, state attorney general, etc. The breeder will more than likely try to weasel out of doing anything for you. (If he legitemately cared about animals he wouldn't have treated the glider as he did.) Remember, Lin, always DOCUMENT....which is why I'd recommend email...anything he "says" to you will be verifiable IN WRITING. Good luck.

You could also show him/her the vet bills.
